It Is What It Is

Pharmaceutical reps hiding in the trees
Behind white coats and MD’s
Blaming invalids for their decay
While the FDA keeps turning eyes away
The blue collars confusing fact for fiction
Opinions for evidence
Trading lives for dollars and cents and silver
Chanting cultish hymns
To restore greatness to the American way
Hacking up their backwards brothers
For being brown, poor, and/or differently Abrahamic
The heritage of their Dixiecrat irony totally lost on them
And the lesson comes round again

An ape with a submachine gun
And a little ignorance can get far in this world
Because evil is more often than not banal
It requires little more than some paperwork
And an obedient flock
Of reactivists and defeatists
